We believe it is important for the church to come together in corporate celebration and worship,  responding openly to all that God is, in all that we are.

Whilst worship concerns all aspects of one’s life and relationship with God, there is something very dynamic and special (at least, there should be) when the church comes together….when we can join together in one heart and voice in corporate worship of our Lord and Saviour.

Worship, praise and thanksgiving are distinctive marks of a living church. It is far more than just singing songs, and it requires far more than just lip-service and a half-hearted attitude.

• Our RESPONSE to GOD

• Our RELATIONSHIP with GOD

• A JOURNEY with GOD

• Based on the CHARACTER of GOD not the changing nature of our circumstances

So, true, genuine worship goes deeper than merely the style of music, or presentation.

Here at Church@TheGabba we follow a "blended" approach to our (musical) worship.
Being a multi-generational and multi-cultural church, this means that we seek to incorporate elements of our corporate worship that are meaningful and appropriate for all.

For example, we will include some of the great old songs of the past, blended in with many of the new songs for this generation of believers. The key thing for us in the selection of what songs we sing is found in the lyrical content....do the songs (be they old or new) focus on our awesome God and all that He is and all that He has done for us in Christ Jesus? We want to lift the name of our Lord high, not just focus on ourselves.

Whilst we are not always blessed with an overabundance of musicians and singers, we have been blessed through the gifts of many over the years, including from many of our international students.

Currently, our worship is fairly laid-back with guitars, piano and drums. The style of our worship is not meant to be a performance but, rather, an opportunity for the congregation to participate in together.

Another way that we seek to be inclusive in our worship time together is through the reading of Scripture in languages other than English. We love to hear the Word of God in the various languages represented in our church family.

We celebrate the fact that God has brought us together, as one family, from many places. 
We recognize that worship is more than the songs we sing...it is our heart and life being lived out in response to our God. But we also love coming together to share in this journey of faith and worship together.
