51. Equips the reader to be prepared to talk about God to others both in word and in character. (vs78-80)

Let the insolent be put to shame,
    because they have wronged me with falsehood;
    as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.
 Let those who fear you turn to me,
    that they may know your testimonies.
 May my heart be blameless in your statutes,
    that I may not be put to shame!

52. Creates a longing to know God more and live in the hope of being saved in life’s present moments. (vs81-82)

My soul longs for your salvation;
    I hope in your word.
My eyes long for your promise;
    I ask, “When will you comfort me?”

53. Gives direction and fortitude in the midst of life feeling empty while hardship surrounds you. (vs82-84)

My eyes long for your promise;
    I ask, “When will you comfort me?”
For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke,
    yet I have not forgotten your statutes.
How long must your servant endure?
    When will you judge those who persecute me?

54. Reassures you that God is the Creator of life who loves and helps you even when others live to hurt you. (vs85-88)

The insolent have dug pitfalls for me;
    they do not live according to your law.
All your commandments are sure;
    they persecute me with falsehood; help me!
They have almost made an end of me on earth,
    but I have not forsaken your precepts.
In your steadfast love give me life,
    that I may keep the testimonies of your mouth.

55. Shows God’s eternal nature and the eternal nature of His Word. (vs89)

Forever, O Lord, your word
    is firmly fixed in the heavens.

56. Establishes God’s role over us as the faithful Creator and Sustainer who can be trusted and relied upon. (vs90-91)

Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
    you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
By your appointment they stand this day,
    for all things are your servants.

57. Resolves the conflict of physical & spiritual death through giving everlasting life by the truth in its pages. (vs92-93)

If your law had not been my delight,
    I would have perished in my affliction.
I will never forget your precepts,
    for by them you have given me life.

58. Shows where your identity comes from and how it grows from being found in God. (vs94)

I am yours; save me,
    for I have sought your precepts.

59. Reveals the sinfulness of mankind and the perfection of God and God alone. (vs95-96)

The wicked lie in wait to destroy me,
    but I consider your testimonies.
I have seen a limit to all perfection,
    but your commandment is exceedingly broad.

60. Guides you in how to love God and His Word instilling its truths to remain with you throughout the day. (vs97-98)

Oh how I love your law!
    It is my meditation all the day.
Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies,
    for it is ever with me.

61. Instructs you to gain understanding and insight. (vs99-100)

I have more understanding than all my teachers,
    for your testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the aged,
    for I keep your precepts.

62. Obtain the pathway to obedience to conquer sins in your life by learning from God and His very words. (vs101-102)

I hold back my feet from every evil way,
    in order to keep your word.
I do not turn aside from your rules,
    for you have taught me.

63. Obtain a love and understanding for what is truly good in life revealing and disregarding what is wrong. (vs103-104)

How sweet are your words to my taste,
    sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Through your precepts I get understanding;
    therefore I hate every false way.

64. Receive direction and guidance to the darkness of unknowns in life by being led by the light of the Word. (vs105)

Your word is a lamp to my feet
    and a light to my path.

65. Learn what it means to live in the freedom of commitment that brings perseverance. (Vs106-107)

I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,
    to keep your righteous rules.
I am severely afflicted;
    give me life, O Lord, according to your word!

66. Use Scripture to personally respond to God in praise that brings a purposeful response in hardship (vs108-109)

Accept my freewill offerings of praise, O Lord,
    and teach me your rules.
I hold my life in my hand continually,
    but I do not forget your law.

67. Remember promises that you can depend upon knowing God’s Word never has or will fail bringing joy. (vs110-112)

The wicked have laid a snare for me,
    but I do not stray from your precepts.
Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
    for they are the joy of my heart.
I incline my heart to perform your statutes
    forever, to the end.

68. See the harmony of God’s Word and how it reveals the double-minded nature of mankind, but not God. (vs113)

I hate the double-minded,
    but I love your law.

69. Receive protection from that which is evil giving freedom to live in holiness by hoping in God. (vs114-115)

You are my hiding place and my shield;
    I hope in your word.
Depart from me, you evildoers,
    that I may keep the commandments of my God.

70. Become sustained and upheld in your life by letting go of fear placing hope in God’s steadfast truths. (vs116-117)

Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live,
    and let me not be put to shame in my hope!
Hold me up, that I may be safe
    and have regard for your statutes continually!

71. Become assured of your salvation knowing that you are not rejected by God because of love. (vs118-120)

You spurn all who go astray from your statutes,
    for their cunning is in vain.
All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross,
    therefore I love your testimonies.
My flesh trembles for fear of you,
    and I am afraid of your judgments.

72. Discover the means of overcoming oppression through the salvation that God offers. (vs121-123)

I have done what is just and right;
    do not leave me to my oppressors.
Give your servant a pledge of good;
    let not the insolent oppress me.
My eyes long for your salvation
    and for the fulfillment of your righteous promise.

73. Discern the way to live in unknowns by growing in the understanding of God’s love. (vs124-125)

Deal with your servant according to your steadfast love,
    and teach me your statutes.
I am your servant; give me understanding,
    that I may know your testimonies!

74. Obtain what is most valuable in life and rest in the assurance of God’s justice for all evil that is done. (vs126-128)

It is time for the Lord to act,
    for your law has been broken.
Therefore I love your commandments
    above gold, above fine gold.
Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right;
    I hate every false way.

75. Gain understanding to questions about God by not only learning about Him, but drawing close to Him. (vs129-130)

Your testimonies are wonderful;
    therefore my soul keeps them.
The unfolding of your words gives light;
    it imparts understanding to the simple.

76. See that obedience is a process of growth creating a reliance upon God’s mercy to live by His leading. (vs131-133)

I open my mouth and pant,
    because I long for your commandments.
132 Turn to me and be gracious to me,
    as is your way with those who love your name.
133 Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
    and let no iniquity get dominion over me.

77. Brings redemption to the hurts of your life. (vs134)

Redeem me from man's oppression,
    that I may keep your precepts.

78. Reveals the light and hope of God’s purity causing sorrow for how humanity falls short of God’s intent. (vs135-136)

Make your face shine upon your servant,
    and teach me your statutes.
My eyes shed streams of tears,
    because people do not keep your law.

79. Differentiate right from wrong finding what is genuine and fully trustworthy in life. (vs137-138).

Righteous are you, O Lord,
    and right are your rules.
You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness
    and in all faithfulness.

80. Test beliefs and promises about who God is by searching His word in love rather than ignorance. (vs139-140)

My zeal consumes me,
    because my foes forget your words.
Your promise is well tried,
    and your servant loves it.

81. Be encouraged by God bringing delight by remembering and trusting God’s promises and purposes. (vs141-143)

I am small and despised,
    yet I do not forget your precepts.
Your righteousness is righteous forever,
    and your law is true.
Trouble and anguish have found me out,
    but your commandments are my delight.

82. Find how the righteous immutability of God provides the purpose to live. (vs144)

Your testimonies are righteous forever;
    give me understanding that I may live.

83. Learn how to pray and live a lifestyle of prayer that gives you hope. (vs145-146)

With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O Lord!
    I will keep your statutes.
I call to you; save me,
    that I may observe your testimonies.

84. Become assured that prayers are heard by a loving God at anytime and in anyplace. (vs147-149)

I rise before dawn and cry for help;
    I hope in your words.
 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night,
    that I may meditate on your promise.
Hear my voice according to your steadfast love;
    O Lord, according to your justice give me life.

85. Discover the reality of the nearness of God through all situations. (vs150-151)

They draw near who persecute me with evil purpose;
    they are far from your law.
But you are near, O Lord,
    and all your commandments are true.

86. See the eternal nature of the truths of God that stand the test of time. (vs152)

Long have I known from your testimonies
    that you have founded them forever.

87, Obtain salvation through the promises of God giving deliverance to your life. (vs153-154)

Look on my affliction and deliver me,
    for I do not forget your law.
Plead my cause and redeem me;
    give me life according to your promise!

88. See that God’s love & compassion is greater than the sins of mankind giving assurance in seeking Him. (vs155-158)

Salvation is far from the wicked,
    for they do not seek your statutes.
Great is your mercy, O Lord;
    give me life according to your rules.
Many are my persecutors and my adversaries,
    but I do not swerve from your testimonies.
I look at the faithless with disgust,
    because they do not keep your commands.

89. Grasp the eternal love of the Lord for yourself. (Vs159-160)

Consider how I love your precepts!
    Give me life according to your steadfast love.
The sum of your word is truth,
    and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.

90. Uncover the truth that the Word reveals sin within yourself alongside the injustice of others. (vs161)

Princes persecute me without cause,
    but my heart stands in awe of your words.

91. Joyfully develop a love for what is good and disregard for what is evil. (vs162-163)

I rejoice at your word
    like one who finds great spoil.
I hate and abhor falsehood,
    but I love your law.

92. Grow in time spent with God resulting in peace and stability for your life. (vs164-165)

Seven times a day I praise you
    for your righteous rules.
Great peace have those who love your law;
    nothing can make them stumble.

93. Learn what to do in times of waiting thus bringing love to all of life’s moments. (vs166-167)

I hope for your salvation, O Lord,
    and I do your commandments.
My soul keeps your testimonies;
    I love them exceedingly.

94. Become relationally known by God. (vs168)

I keep your precepts and testimonies,
    for all my ways are before you.

95. Gain understanding on what prayer is. Then interact with God through it. (vs169-170)

Let my cry come before you, O Lord;
    give me understanding according to your word!
Let my plea come before you;
    deliver me according to your word.

96. Praise God by realizing who He is and how He interacts with you. (vs171-172)

My lips will pour forth praise,
    for you teach me your statutes.
My tongue will sing of your word,
    for all your commandments are right.

97. Find help from God in your life. (vs173)

Let your hand be ready to help me,
    for I have chosen your precepts.

98. Delight in the joys of salvation. (vs174)

I long for your salvation, O Lord,
    and your law is my delight.

99. Praise God through how He sustains your life by the truths of Scripture. (vs175)

Let my soul live and praise you,
    and let your rules help me.

100. Become restored through reliant repentance. (vs176)

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant,
    for I do not forget your commandments.

101. The purpose of the Bible isn't to know the Bible but to know God. (vs1-176)
